Notes Concerning the Author

Our Review

The book contains selected writings of over 100 Southern writers of fiction, poetry, and non-fiction, many of them nearly forgotten.  The book is a handy guide to  Southern  writing from earliest  times up to its publication date.    More importantly, the selections are not merely literary, but are chosen  to be expressions of Southern life.
