Donald Davidson’s, The Tennessee, is in two volumes: The Old River: Frontier to Secession; The New River: Civil War to TVA. This history of the Tennessee River valley was written by a premier writer and Agrarian.

Availability of this Book
Originally published in 1946 and 1948, this book on the Tennessee River was reprinted in 1978 and 1991. Look for a used book on Amazon or similar resource.
