22.03.01 : Gone with the Wind, released in 1939
Gone with the Wind, one of the greatest movies ever produced, was released in 1939. Not much needs to be said about this classic and the Margaret Mitchell novel which inspired it. The book and movie have drawn immense worldwide admiration, perhaps more than any other production of American culture. The story of Scarlett O’Hara, Rhett Butler, and the destruction of the Old South will last as long as civilization.
